Sparkly-ness

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

We've had some very Fall-like weather here the last couple days...ahhhh, bliss...and it's the perfect backdrop for the stitching I've been doing:

hoop-dee-doo

I've been stitching more cuteness from Annie Oakleaves' adorable patterns. These ones are from her Cuties collection. Fitting name, yes? :)

Check out those shoes! They sparkle!! Of course, the pic doesn't do the shoes justice; you really need to see them up close and personal to appreciate the sparkly-ness (yes, I just made up a word!) of them. I am loving what DMC has to offer lately...The shoes are stitched with Jewel Effects, part of the Light Effects collection. Fun stuff! Not quite as easy to work with as cotton floss since it's a metallic floss, but not hard.

I am currently working on another Cutie, but unfortunately I don't have a WIP picture for you. Sorry! It's super cute though, I promise you'll like it. I am halfway done with it, so you can expect to see a picture of a completed project soon! Until then...

Happy Stitching!

Metallic flosses take some adjusting too but wow, they are worth it usually. The cuteness of your embroideries kills me!

Okay, so I apparently am just a big boob. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it: as soon as I left this comment on your flickr page, I'm proven an idiot. You'd already blogged it.

Sigh.

(But yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa, new blog posts! =))

Maybe I should start checking your blog before I check Flickr...but I'm on flickr so much more often, you see.... ;)

Mwa!

(And I bet you most definitely *are* enjoying this Autumnal weather we've been having this week. I have too, actually. I think I'm ready for summer to be over. =))

Nighty-night! (But tell me: Why, oh why, am I still up and reading blogs/making comments at 2:30 in the morning when Cindi's kids will be here in FIVE HOURS?!?! Dumb, dumb, dumb. Then again, they're coming here, so I don't actually have to get up at 7:15 like I would if I was going to their house. I can get up when I get up, which is usually around 8:30 or so if they don't start arguing. Thank the lord....)

Anyway...hasta luego, mi darlingo! =D

SO cute! I'm off to check out her patterns now. I started stitching with Wee Wonderfuls patterns. Lately I've been tracing coloring book pages with an Aunt Annies tracing pencil. I hope to start embroidering them in the the fall...

I want to do some Halloween embroideries, but I don't know what to do with them. What are you going to do? Frame them??

I will more than likely frame them, though right now they are stashed in the closet. I would like to give some of them to my sister-in-law as gifts. :)
