Glimpses of Christmas, Part 3

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

Lookee here!

(Pattern by Wild Olive.)

I just love the little frown-y faces, don't you?

This is the third little ornament-to-be that I recently embroidered. Soon I will be hand sewing this and two others (this one and this one) into ornaments for our Christmas tree. I have to go through my stash of fabric to see if I have anything appropriate to back these with, or if I have to (get to!) go to the fabric store and purchase something new. As much I like going to the fabric store, I really hope I have something in my collection so I can start sewing these ASAP. Though I long for a sewing machine, I really do enjoy hand sewing. It's soothing, much like embroidery and cross stitch.

Well, that's all for now, folks! I have just a little bit of work left on the WIP shirt for my son, so be on the lookout for pics of a completed tee. Until then...

Happy Stitching!

Ahhhhh! They came out so cute! All I could think of when making this pattern was "people are going to hate me..." Hopefully that isn't the case!

Those are going to make lovely ornaments! And I totally agree with you about the hand sewing, it's very relaxing, although I can see why a sewing machine would come in handy for a large project like a quilt!

You know, if you can stitch this well, I bet your hand-sewn stitches just ROCK, huh? I don't why, but that gem on an insight just struck me. ;o)

Can't wait to see these in person whenever I'm down there in December! It'll probably be that week after Christmas, I'm guessing, so you can't stash away all your ornaments until I get to see the handiwork! =)
