Wee Pillow

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

I am on a pillow-making frenzy! Ok, not really, unless sewing one pillow a week constitutes a frenzy...but in my world as a sewing newbie, it sorta does. So yeah! I am on a pillow-making frenzy!! :-D

wee pillow

(Click on the pic to get to my flickr, where you can see the individual pics in the mosaic more closely. And click here to get the embroidery pattern.)
This was a spur-of-the-moment pillow that I needed to make last night. (Don'tcha love it when you need to craft?) Well, actually it's been a long time coming; this was the first thing I embroidered and I'd been waiting to get a sewing machine so I could make a cute pillow. Anywho...I holed up in the office/craft room, put on some Alice in Chains and went to work. I tend to dive in rather blindly without giving much thought to a pattern. Whatever happens, happens. ;) It's not perfect, but I am quite fond of it. I think it's cute.

Hey, do you remember the sampler I've been working on? I am almost done with it!! All I have to do is add the tiny black seed beads in the "B" section...which I didn't have in my stash, so I had to order them. They should be here soon. So stay tuned, peeps! I will back soon with a picture of a finished sampler within a week, if all goes well. Until then...

Happy Stitching!

You did a great job! These are both too cute. I've had the wee wonderfuls embroidery pattern downloaded for a while now...but haven't done anything with it. I just might have to copy you!

That is WAY TOO CUTE! You did great and your finished products don't look like you're new to sewing; I think they look fantastic.
Great job and thanks for sharing and also for posting the link for the patterns. those are so cute!

Love it! I used the boy and girl elf patterns to stitch up stockings for my niece and nephew...SUCH a cute pattern, I'd had it bookmarked for a year. Since before I even learned how to stitch ;o)

I don't think it's just "cute"...I think it's REALLY cute. =)

Great job, m'dear! You're rockin' that new machine, baby! (And Alice in Chains?? Where'd that impulse come from? ...Though I did notice you'd set an AiC song as your profile song on MySpace when I randomly logged in for the first time in many, many months last week. =))

Thank you so much everyone! I really appreciate your support and kind comments. :) You rock, bloggy peeps! ♥

CCW--I've always loved AiC, but I never had any CDs. D has some, and he downloaded them on the computer so now I can listen whenever I want. :) Well, not when the kids are around...along with RCHP, The Offspring, Soundgarden...It's amazing what a four-year-old will repeat!!! lol

Hi, I love your blog! Your stitching is awesome. Can I ask you other than pillows, what do you do with your finished stitchery? I would like to do some stitching, but I have no idea where they would go? Thanks for all your lovely stitchy eye candy.

Hello April, thanks! :) Most of my finished stitchy pieces are either framed or waiting to be sewn into something. Sometimes I stitch something with a very specific idea of what I will do with it when it's done; other things I do spur-of-the-moment because I fall in love with the design. :) :)

I hope you try stitching! Please be sure to come back here and link to some pics of what you've stitched. ♥
