Bright & Cheerful Stitching on a Rainy & Gray Day

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

Here's my piece for the aforementioned swap I'm doing:

heart, birds, & flowers 2

Ok, so that's not the greatest picture...it's rainy and gray here today...

heart, birds, & flowers

It's hard for me to take good pics on rainy, gray days.

french knots in a flower

The macros turned out ok, though, right?

more french knots

even more french knots

(Pattern by Andrea Zuill [Badbird], available here.)

This piece was fun to stitch. I love all the french knots! I really hope my partner likes it. It's a blind swap, meaning I know who I am stitching for, but I don't know who is stitching for me. Fun stuff!

And I actually DO know who is stitching for me...I got my piece in the mail last week! It's simply gorgeous, and it deserves a blog post all its own. Unfortunately, I don't have time for that right now...but I will be back soon to tell you all about it--promise. And it's worth waiting for. It's that fantastic!

So stayed tuned, my lovelies! I will have pics and details soon. Until then...

Happy Stitching!

Your work is beautiful! I wish I had the patience to do french knots. They just give me such a difficult time that I tend to give up and use beads.

So pretty! I have been working on that same pattern off and on since last summer. I love the colors you used. I was attracted to this pattern because it just begs for bright cheery colors.

Looks amazing. If you don't mind me asking, what camera are you using to take your pictures? Mine never come out that great!
