Lizzie*Kate's 2008 Christmas Spirit Banner

Hello, hello! Here, as promised, are the details about the Lizzie*Kate piece!

Ohhhhh, this was a joy to stitch! I loved it SO much. It was really hard to get a picture of the entire piece, though (it's 2 feet long!), so you will have to take my word for it when I say this project is impressive.

Ah, there it is, in all its wrinkly glory. :)

I stitched this on 28-count linen, but unfortunately I can't tell you precisely what linen. I have no idea what it is. I used all the recommended threads, which consisted mostly of overdyed floss. Fun!

Overall, this was a pretty simple piece to stitch, and it worked up quickly, too.

The embellishments, which came with the patterns, are quite charming, wouldn't you say? :)

Of course, no big project is without its problems, right? Let's see if you can spot my biggest problem.

See it? There near the bottom, under the candelabra?

One of the "berries" came loose! Nooooo! I had a Monica Geller moment when I spotted that. (It was a super easy fix, thankfully.)

Stupid confetti stitches, how I loathe thee!

Here are a few more pictures.

Right now, this piece is at the framers, and soon it will adorn the walls of my awesome LNS.  I will try to take a pic of it all framed up if I remember. I've never had anything professionally framed before, and, even though this isn't my piece to keep, it will be neat to see what my work looks like when professionally finished. It will probably make me want to quit doing my own framing. ;)

That's adorable! Love that pattern. For Christmas I've stitched mostly stockings (my goal is to do all of the Shepherd's bush stockings; I doubt I'll ever get there!) but I do love this banner.

Absolutely love your finish of the Lizzie Kate piece, now you've got me wanting to stitch it myself asap even though I've got several other projects on the go. But isn't that always the case, LOL!

Love it!
