But you're telling me I can use crayons and/or colored pencils? WHAT??! Can you do a tutorial? Can these items be laundered? Will the color stay (not so big a deal - we can always re-color), or will the colors bleed (HUGE deal, that would suck!)?? Do tell.FullertonReganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11969477048826768856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-89519435617985191062012-09-25T05:51:23.407-07:002012-09-25T05:51:23.407-07:00I think the tinted stitching is so striking, but I...I think the tinted stitching is so striking, but I can't always get it to work right for me, so I don't usually bother. I don't mind fill stitching if the piece is small, but otherwise it's tedious!besomomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04626482527317809210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-68008277964726428212012-09-24T14:49:05.160-07:002012-09-24T14:49:05.160-07:00I like the look of the tinted one :)I like the look of the tinted one :)Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15884406701657210293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-7233264083620688582012-09-23T04:45:45.533-07:002012-09-23T04:45:45.533-07:00Hmmm, I think I'm a purist because I prefer th...Hmmm, I think I'm a purist because I prefer the untinted. (But never again will I color-tint something that will be washed -- lesson learned on that one!) It's sure a nice way to add a boost of color when you're using a white or other light fabric.Glendahttp://wrenandstitchy.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-65806024941994316062012-09-22T21:23:40.658-07:002012-09-22T21:23:40.658-07:00I have never done it but your tinted stitching loo...I have never done it but your tinted stitching looks great!Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16292519625560497199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-83974122935717042982012-09-22T14:38:38.778-07:002012-09-22T14:38:38.778-07:00I have to admit that filling stitches aren't m...I have to admit that filling stitches aren't my favorite either, but sometimes solid stitching is just too bold for a piece. I like the softness of color that tinting can provide. I think it really adds to the examples you showed in this post (loving that little bird). I usually tint with colored pencils. I also like the look of chalk if an item isn't going to be washed. I've used fabric paints a few times as well.Poppy (xperimentl)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08982553398133697649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3177620822149389032.post-1723859093615934442012-09-22T14:32:23.538-07:002012-09-22T14:32:23.538-07:00I love a fill stitch me!
