Bigfoot Sighting

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

This summer has kept me very busy--with non-stitchy things, boo. But I did sit down last night and put a few stitches in a new project:

bigfoot wip
("Bigfoot" pattern by Badbird.)

This one's for my husband, an avid believer in Bigfoot. I am not such a believer. But I really like this pattern, and the moment I saw it in Badbird's Etsy shop I snatched it up. I was going to surprise my honey with it (you know how much I love top secret projects!), but I was anxious to show it to him. His happy reaction was worth it. ☺

Anywho, here are a couple more pics:

As you can see, I am using DMC 610. So far, that's the only floss I've tossed for this project. I usually select all my colors before I start, but I dunno, I was feeling impetuous last night and didn't plan this one out. Tee hee. I will keep you posted on how it goes, and will be back soon (ok, eventually) with pics of this guy. Until then...

Happy Stitching!

I can't wait to see the progress on this guy. I love it. I am not sure I am a believer either.

How did you transfer this great pattern onto your fabric?

I've only recently gotten back to doing embroidery and am not liking the window tracing method, or the carbon paper one. This one here looks printed, it is so fine in detail.

NanaBeast, I did the window tracing method (which I don't like too much either, but seems to be the most reliable for me so far) with a pop-a-point pencil. It probably isn't the best method, lol, but I like the super sharp point of the pencil. :-D

Kristi,
It must be the pop-a-point pencil that makes the fine detail for you. I will try that next. I have been using a Mark-B-Gone pen and it no longer does a fine line. Thanks so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it!
