Winterwoods WIP

I am stitching Alicia Paulson's Winterwoods ABCs Sampler. Isn't it lovely?

I opted for the pdf over the kit because I have a large stash of fabric and floss. I was hopeful that I had most, if not all, the supplies I would need to stitch this sampler without having to purchase more. Luckily, I was correct. ☺ However, the supplies I am using are not the exact ones called for in the pattern. But that is okay with me. It just means that my sampler will be unique.

Are you stitching this sampler, too? I'd love to see it!

Sooooooo, this is what you do when you're not kickin my fanny at Words with Friends! Verrrrry pretty.

I've never stitched a sampler but it's on the ever-growing list of things to do.

So lovely Kristi! I am looking forward to getting my stitchy paws on that pattern when I have finished my latest project, Rx

Really nice! I'm working on the embroidered alphabet right now but this one is next on my list! I'm wondering if I should spring for the hand-dyed thread that Alicia mentions, or go diving through my supplies .... decisions, decisions!

I'm glad to see that it is PDF-able now. I knew she was doing kits and had the same thought as you...I've already got SO much fabric and fibers...I hate to buy more! Love the fabric and fiber choices that you've made.

I bought the whole kit. I don't have any of that twilight-winter-sky color in my fabric stash, and that is my favorite part of the whole project! Well, that, and the snail, and the boots, and the mushroom, and the bunny, and ...

I haven't started stitching it yet, though. I purchased it despite my vow not to buy anything new until I work through my pattern stash. Ha! I am weak.
