Happy Apple is Done!

Hey there, Stitchy Peeps!

So hey, I finished the Happy Apple:

happy apple mosaic

(Click on the pic to get to my Flickr, where you can view the photos individually if you'd like.)

I took my friend Amy's advice and added a white french knot to each eye. They are twinkly and cute as can be. Thanks, Amy! :)

I decided against giving her a nose. After I re-stitched her mouth, I was pleased with her face just as it was. Also, I left the bee's wings alone. I couldn't bear the thought of changing them. Ok, I couldn't bear the thought of frogging them.

I guess that's it for now. Oh, except one thing: Have I told you how much you rock, my bloggy friends? 'Cause you do! I am so grateful for your kind comments and stitchy advice. I am still kinda surprised that there are people out there that actually read my humble little blog. Thank you! *kiss-kiss*

Well, that's it for me. I will back soon with more stitchy goodness. Until then...

Happy Stitching!

Funny how using just a few different colors makes it look all together different from the one I did. I like how yours turned out!

Ok, now that is just precious! I adore vintage embroidery, another thing on my long long looooong list of things I want to tackle. And thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog recently! I was starting to think nobody loved me!

Very cute! Funny how much difference something like adding a white french knot to the eyes can make -- but that sure makes them pop. I'm logging that idea away for future use.

I'm a sucker for adding a twinkle to the eyes, and I'm flattered that you took my suggestion! She looks absolutely wonderful, Kristi. <3

I am a painter and always taught people to add the "twinkle" in the eye's with paint, never thought of it in embroidery! So cute! Love your work!
